Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association (W.D.L.M.A.) Future Events at Powercom Park and Powercom Speed Zone.

The Raceway @ Powercom Park, Beaver Dam, Wis., June 10, 2005

In a decision made by the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association, the Raceway at Powercom Park schedule has temporarily suspended the Late Model Division from participation from the remaining scheduled events at the Raceway at Powercom Park for the 2005-Racing Season.

In anticipation of their inaugural year, in October 2004, representatives from Wisconsin Motorsports & Entertainment LLC and the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association agreed upon 17 scheduled events of participation for the W.D.L.M.A. at both the Park and the Zone for the 2005-Racing Season.

A pre-approved and formulated payout, (based on a car count), combined with a established program of events made up of qualifying, no heat events, B-Mains based solely on car counts, and a single A-Main event was acknowledged and documented as the 2005 procedure on the nights of participation at both the Raceway at Powercom Park and the Powercom Speed Zone.

After several weeks of participation, a request made by the W.D.L.M.A. to Wisconsin Motorsports and Entertainment to substitute qualifying with heat races, also proved to ineffective in producing more participants.

Until the realization of a higher participation of late model drivers can be improved upon, the decision to revert back to a regular line up of scheduled divisions will remain standard for Saturday night racing at the Park.

The W.D.L.M.A. has requested to remain on schedule at the Powercom Speed Zone for the remaining season and will continue to compete and fulfill their obligation for their remaining seven events for 2005.

Bill Behling strongly urges all W.D.L.M.A. members to support Tuesday Night Races at the Speed Zone where a TWENTY (20) or more car count is attainable.

The format of the nightly itinerary will remain the same at the Speed Zone as agreed upon, and the W.D.L.M.A. payout will be based upon the predetermined 20 car count obligation.

On any given weekly event Modified, Street Stocks, INEX Legends, Grand Nationals and Dirt Devils comprise an average of 125-140 drivers from three to four Midwestern states.

Regular scheduled racing at the Raceway at Powercom Park will resume on Saturday June 18th, with the standard five divisional participations, and will be the first event of non-participation of the W.D.L.M.A. at the Park.
